Welcome to my blog, "Meeting Our Neighbors". 4 or 5 years ago I ran up on a web-site about people that drove their own vehicles to exotic places: Africa, Asia, South America, etc... I was hooked! I began reading all that I could about different travelers, the places they went, the vehicles they drove, the people they met along the way... And at some point, I decided that I wanted to be a real "participant" in Overland Travel and not just an "armchair adventurer". So I started planning my own trip. If everything goes according to plan, I'll be leaving for Panama in mid-October, 2007, traveling through all the countries in Central America.
